Vejer - Location

The town lies just off the main coastal route through Cádiz province, the A340, about halfway between the provincial capital and Tarifa. It's around 50 minutes from Jerez de la Frontera, two hours from Seville, two hours 20 minutes from Málaga and 40 minutes from Gibraltar - all of which have international airports served by flights from the UK.

The province of Cadiz is surprisingly green. This is due to the moisture carried in the air from the sea and also the abundance of rivers and lakes, fed by water from the high sierras. Considering the close proximity of Africa (only 16 klms from Tarifa to Morocco) the terrain and fauna is quite remarkable.
