The old town is tranquil, the new town is lively, Arcos as a whole is authentically Spanish in its architecture, outlook and the friendliness of the locals
Arcos makes a superb holiday base. Apart from being one of Spain's loveliest towns it is within easy reach of Seville and Jerez, the beaches of the Costa de la Luz, mountains and inland lakes, Gibraltar and Málaga. There's one of Andalucía's finest golf courses on the doorstep, and a dozen more within around an hour's drive.
There's excellent rental potential for investment properties - this is a popular holiday town with a season which lasts almost the whole year.
Strict planning controls are in place which will limit uncontrolled development so good properties are at a premium.
Communications are excellent with new roads putting western Andalucía's major cities and airports within easy reach.
Property in Arcos is still cheap compared with the coastal towns of Cadiz province.
